Volumes 21-30, 1987-1996
This index to volumes 21-30 of Program is in two parts. Part I is an author and title index. Surnames and initials are given for first authors, editors, compilers and reviewers, in respect of articles, short communications, letters and reviewed items, with 'see' references from second and subsequent authors. For reviewed items, only the first author is indexed. News items, announcements of courses and meetings and similar ephemeral material, and items received (but not reviewed) have not been indexed.
Part II is a subject index. It covers articles, short communications, letters, and reviews. In addition to the basic subject matter of a paper the index also includes names of libraries, organisations, countries, systems, packages, etc., where it seemed appropriate. The indexing terms have been arrived at from examination of the volumes; from those used in the previous Index which covered volumes 1-20; and from what appeared most likely to be useful to the user.
